YOU DON’T WRITE BECAUSE YOU WANT TO SAY SOMETHING, YOU WRITE BECAUSE YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY.

ABOUT ME

Lizzy Madrigal is a YA author born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. The oldest of five children born to immigrant parents, Lizzy grew up using creative outlets such as drawing and writing to play with her siblings and cousins.  She recalls spending hours in the backyard with her childhood best friend, creating and writing stories in a composition notebook. Some of her favorite heroines growing up were Jo March, Hermione Granger, and Lizzie Bennet.

Lizzy spent about ten years in the mental health field before changing her own story from storylistener to storyteller. She is currently working on the manuscripts for Counterclock and The Night Ballad while pursuing her MFA at Emerson College. While still licensed as a mental health therapist in the state of California, Lizzy hopes to continue pursuing writing and creating stories that her audience will love.
